At Galiot TeatreSince our foundation in 1994, we have dedicated our professional life to the wonderful world of puppet theatre. We define ourselves as craftsmen of wood, since in our workshop we design and build with care the scenographies and puppets that give life to our productions. Most of the stories we perform are of our own creation, although we also enjoy adapting and reinventing some of the classics most loved by the public.

Our Puppet Workshops

One of the activities we are most passionate about is our puppet workshops, specially designed for children to explore their creativity. Depending on the age of the participants, we guide them in the construction of an animal puppet, using different materials and traditional techniques, such as the Czech technique. In addition, we offer customised workshops, where we create unique characters adapted to the theme of the event or the needs of our collaborators.

Our Participation in Major Events

Over the years, we have had the honour of being part of large-scale outdoor events, where we have brought the magic of puppetry to a wide range of audiences. We have developed tailor-made puppetry actions, including impressive Chinese shadow puppet projections, touring performances, and prominent participations in parades and parades. These events always challenge us to innovate and take our creativity a step further.

Our Stage Trajectory

With more than 4,000 performances behind us, we have toured towns, theatres, squares and festivals all over Catalonia and beyond. We have been part of theatre circuits such as La Xarxa, Rialles and La Roda d'Espectacleswhich have allowed us to reach a diverse audience and consolidate our reputation in the sector. We have also had stable seasons at the prestigious Tantarantana Theatre of Barcelona and participated in theatre fairs as important as the Tàrrega Street Theatre Festival y La Mostra d'Igualada de Teatre Infantil i Juvenil (The Igualada Children's and Young People's Theatre Festival).
